Cloud Softphone Push Notification Issue

The 3rd party vendor (Acrobits) has fixed the issue with Apple/iOS Push Notifications to Cloud Softphone. They have not provided a reason for the outage.

No further issues are anticipated, but if you continue to experience problems with the app, please contact support.

Investigating

Dear Customers and Partners,

As of approximately 1PM (AEST) this afternoon, an issue has arisen affecting Cloud Softphone running on IOS, which is preventing push notifications for inbound calls being received.

The issue is restricted to the following specific set of circumstances:

  • Using the Cloud Softphone App
  • Running on an IOS device
  • The app has been closed, or is running in the background

Android devices are not affected, and the issue does not occur if you have Cloud Softphone open in the foreground.

If you have missed any calls due to this issue, you will be notified upon starting the app. If you rely on Cloud Softphone to receive calls, we recommend starting the app to check for any missed calls.

For the immediate term, the best workaround is to keep the app open, auto-lock turned off, with your phone plugged into power. We understand that this is not the most practical long term solution, so we are working with the vendor for a resolution as soon as possible.
