This morning we experienced a brief service interruption affecting some inbound calls (for customers on Hosted PBX) as well as some inbound and outbound calls (for customers on SIP trunking). Inbound calls were primarily affected, with callers receiving a busy signal rather than getting through.
The issue was identified just after 11:00 AEST and was resolved by 11:19 AEST.
The interruption was a result of an issue with one of our load balancers not properly distributing a large influx of calls. The affected load balancer became unresponsive, and some calls that were routed through that particular device failed to connect.
The affected device has been corrected and normal service has been restored.
