Periodic issues on inbound and outbound calls

Dear Customers,

We’d like to sincerely apologise for this service interruption and call quality degradation experienced this morning.  The issue was a combination of a recent surge in call volumes, a hardware failure, and a rolling effect caused by passing the calls onto other nodes that were already near full capacity.  These unexpected increases are a result of a large influx of new customers joining MaxoTel due to the closure of another VoIP provider.

We generally keep well ahead with a continuing network expansion program, but in this instance we failed to keep up with demand.

We have alleviated the issue by activating our standby server pool to keep up with the current demand.  This evening we will undertake works to deploy even further infrastructure to ensure we remain well ahead of future demand.

We’d like to thank our customers and partners for their understanding and patience throughout this interruption.  Rest assured that we are working hard to ensure that there are no further interruptions to service.
