The issue has now been resolved and there are no longer any intermittent issues on calls. Please let us know as soon as possible if you continue to experience any issues.
The root cause was found the be attempted fraudulent call attempts originating from overseas. Although no successful connection was made, the large number of incoming requests resulted in intermittent issues on some of our servers responding to legitimate requests. Our development team has updated our detection mechanisms to have the network automatically block these kinds of attacks in the future.
We’d like to thank you for your understanding and patience throughout this issue and apologise for any inconvenience it may have caused.
A fix has been put in place and is currently being tested. The problem appears to be mitigated, with further updates to follow. MaxoTel engineers are continuing to closely monitor the situation.
MaxoTel is aware of an intermittent issue affecting some inbound calls in some areas. The issue is very intermittent and only happens in rare cases. If affected, retrying the call (even immediately afterwards) is successful. Outbound calling is unaffected.
Our team is working to investigate the issue now as a matter of urgency. Further updates will be provided as soon as possible.
